Elliott Forbes-Robinson can best be described as a “well-rounded” driver. During his nearly 40-year racing career, the California native has claimed race victories in seven different series and championships in a number of racing venues. Off the track, Forbes-Robinson helped design and develop the popular Legends Cars, manufactured by 600 Racing.

A 2006 inductee into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, Forbes-Robinson began his career with the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) in 1968 and ran his first race in Las Vegas that same year. In 1969 at Sears Point, he steered a Porsche 911S to his first career victory.

Since then, Forbes-Robinson has competed in a variety of racing series, including Formula 5000, second-generation Can-Am, World Sports Cars, NASCAR, IMSA GTP, GTO, GTU, Supercar, and Rolex Sports Car Series.

In 1999, Forbes-Robinson won two sports car championships, in the United States Road Racing Championship and the American Le Mans Series.

Forbes-Robinson has had 409 starts and 55 victories during his career.

Forbes-Robinson, who now lives in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, has raced on various road tracks throughout the world. He immediately recognized the potential of the High Rock Raceway and designed the track to reflect his experience racing on courses around the globe.

“There are aspects of different tracks that as a driver you really like. We’re going to put a lot of those elements together to create a really great racetrack,” Forbes says. “The track will be designed so it’s good for a professional race as well as for the novice who just wants to go out and have fun.”
